MOVEMENT BASED PERFORMANCE ARTIST

Lorenz Krieger

“Lorenz Krieger" is a dance-theatre performance in a one-man-show format that explores the systems and mechanisms that can come to life when one deals with an unsatisfying reality and an inability to follow one’s path. The piece offers an artistic analysis of the “negative feedback loop” in the realm of self-perception and relation to the outside world: the extrovert’s desire for outer confirmation of their existence, and the introvert’s apprehension of external judgement coming from a fragile self-perception. Through a constellation of characters belonging to virtual, imaginary, and everyday realities, the work explores the challenge of exposing one’s vulnerability while maintaining control over the narrative. The dramaturgy invites the audience to contemplate the notion of balance and whether such a balance truly exists.
